Connect to Reframe

Connect with Janis

Connection has the power to shift perspectives, challenge old beliefs, and build new understandings. By engaging with others and the world around us, we create space to unlearn misconceptions and embrace fresh insights.

When we reframe how we see behaviors—like substance use—we move beyond judgement and toward solutions that foster real, lasting change. Understanding why people make certain choices allows us, as a community, to build compassionate, effective support systems that truly work.

Transformation starts with connection. Let’s reframe, rebuild, and create a future rooted in understanding, action, and meaningful progress.

Six Steps to Reframe the Brain

Recognize Your Current Perspective

1

Describe your service here. What makes it great? Use short catchy text to tell people what you offer, and the benefits they will receive. A great description gets readers in the mood, and makes them more likely to go ahead and book.

2

Seek New Viewpoints

Seek out new perspectives by listening to others, reading diverse sources, or challenging your own biases.

3

Shift from Judgement to Curiosity

Ask questions like "Is this the only way to see it?", "What would someone with a different experience say?"

and "What is the deeper story behind this?"

.

4

Apply Empathy and Understanding

2

3

Consider how different life experiences influence actions. Understanding why someone makes a choice can reshape how we react to it.

5

Experiment with a New Frame

Try looking at the situation through a new lens. If you once saw something as an obstacle, try looking at it as a challenge to be won?

6

Take Action Based on Your New Perspective

Whether it's advocating for change, supporting someone differently, or adjusting your mindset, apply what you've learned to make a real impact.
